Appropriate measures are taken according to the epizootic situation in the world
The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan implements appropriate measures in accordance with the epizootic situation in the world based on the information received from the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) in order to protect against infectious animal diseases that may enter the territory of our republic from other countries.
According to the official information of the World Organization for Animal Health, foot-and-mouth disease was recorded in the Jendouba administrative territorial unit of the Republic of Tunisia, and highly pathogenic avian influenza was recorded in the Mari-El Republic of the Russian Federation.
Taking into account the principle of zoning for the protection of the territory of the Republic from the mentioned infectious diseases, in accordance with the "Health Code of Terrestrial Animals" of WOAH, ungulates (large and small animals, pigs, camels, etc.), as well as the import and transit transportation of raw materials and products related to them, of live poultry and hatching eggs, poultry meat, from enterprises located within a radius of 10 km from the farm included in the territorial unit of the Mari-El Republic of the Russian Federation where the disease occurred ready meat products from poultry and all types of poultry products (except for products subjected to heat treatment that ensures the destruction of avian influenza viruses), poultry feed and feed additives for poultry (of plant origin, obtained by chemical and microbiological synthesis) except for feeds and feed additives), a temporary restriction has been applied to the import of equipment used for keeping, slaughtering and processing birds.
At the same time, in order to strengthen the control measures, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan was requested to take appropriate measures regarding the means of transport coming from these administrative territorial units or entering our republic through transit.
