AQTA and KOBIA met with representatives of transport companies and couriers at Baku SME House

Another meeting was held with entrepreneurs and couriers engaged in transport activities at "Baku SME House". The meeting was attended by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, Elkhan Mikayilov, Chief of Staff of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency, and about 50 transport entrepreneurs and their representatives, as well as couriers.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA Orkhan Mammadov noted that the business activity related to transportation has recently expanded and the number of companies operating in this field has increased. It was reported that there is an increase in the number of couriers working in the transportation sector, and most of them are young people. As a public institution, we are ready to provide the necessary support for the proper formation and management of business in the transportation sector. The purpose of today's meeting is to jointly discuss the formation and development of business related to transportation activities in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the legislation, as well as the difficulties of entrepreneurs and couriers, and to take measures to solve them. Orkhan Mammadov suggested considering the issue of creating an association for the organization of couriers and the easier delivery of the difficulties they face to relevant institutions.

AQTA Chief of Staff Elkhan Mikayilov said that the agency closely cooperates with entrepreneurs and couriers engaged in transportation activities, trainings have already been started in order to manage the process in compliance with the requirements of food safety. It was noted that the safety of the products is not only responsible for the manufacturer, but also for the transport companies and couriers who carry out their transportation and delivery to the consumer. For this purpose, free trainings of a practical nature have been started by AQTA. The training will be carried out gradually, covering all couriers. It is planned to implement measures in this area together with KOBIA.

At the meeting, the difficulties encountered by the companies and couriers engaged in transportation activities and their solutions, as well as the joint support of KOBIA and AQTA in this field, were discussed.
