As part of the “Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Decade of Health Care”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev, a delegation led by the Minister of Health of Azerbaijan visited Heydar Aliyev Square

In Tashkent, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and with the joint organization of the Ministries of Health of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, the “Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Decade of Health Care” continues, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev.
As part of the visit to Uzbekistan, the delegation led by the Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev visited the Heydar Aliyev Square created in Tashkent and the large memorial complex erected there. The delegation laid wreaths at the monument to the Great Leader and honored the blessed memory of the National Leader of our people. It was noted that the square was created as part of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 21, 2022. The square, located on the street named after national leader Heydar Aliyev, is one of the places where residents and guests of the city come to relax.

Then the delegation visited the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan.

A meeting was also held between the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Amrillo Inoyatov and the Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev.
The meeting, held in a friendly atmosphere, emphasized the high level of bilateral relations and cooperation between the fraternal countries. Mutual visits by the leaders of both countries are a striking example of friendly relations between the countries.
It was noted that on October 11, within the framework of the Decade, the “Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Health Forum” will be held. In addition to deepening bilateral cooperation, the forum will create ample opportunities to enhance the exchange of experience in the field of healthcare, stimulate public-private partnerships, and attract additional investments in this area. The surgical operations, examinations and procedures carried out by medical specialists of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan together with their Uzbek colleagues were highly appreciated. It was emphasized that this event takes mutual cooperation to a new level and creates ample opportunities to improve the practical knowledge of doctors from both countries and protect public health.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest.
Within the framework of the ten-day period, a delegation led by the Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev visited the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov. Here Teymur Musayev met with citizens and medical specialists from Azerbaijan who had jointly operated within the framework of the decade of healthcare.

It was noted that within the framework of the decade of healthcare, which took place with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, more than 100 joint surgical operations were carried out using modern medical equipment and medical examinations for the population in various regions of Uzbekistan.

Surgical operations were carried out in the areas of neonatal minimally invasive surgery, pediatric surgery, transplantology, minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, oncology, ophthalmology, as well as complex reconstructive operations.
There was also an acquaintance with the Republican Specialized Center for Eye Microsurgery, the National Children's Medical Center, the Scientific and Practical Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics and the M-Clinic.
