Certification of 5 food supplements was denied

According to sub-item 3.0.33-20 of the “Regulations on the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 13, 2017, import, export, production, sale of  food supplements The Agency's responsibilities are to control the turnover.

Import of food supplements  to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 302 of July 16, 2018 on approval of the “Form and rules of issuance of food safety certificate for food products”, and expertise of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 10, 2018 It is carried out in accordance with the "Rules for the examination of food supplements " approved by Decision No. 287.

A total of 27 appeals were considered at the meeting of the commission established on August 24, 2021 to ensure the prompt and collegial consideration of appeals related to the activities of business entities engaged in the import of food supplements in this area. As a result, 22  food supplements were certified on the basis of the application, and 5  food supplements were denied certification.
The Agency once again calls on businesses operating in this field to carry out their activities in accordance with the requirements of the law.
