İmported Food Supplement was found to be unfit for consumption

The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (FSA) continues to control food imports into the country.

As part of the control measures, a total of 5,173 boxes of biologically active food supplements with the trademark "Nebufer"  Tablet N30 imported by "NEBULA MEDICINE" LLC from San Marino were inspected by the Agency's inspectors. During the inspection, samples taken from imported products were submitted to the relevant laboratory of the Azerbaijan Institute of Food Safety. As a result of the inspections, it was found that the mass fraction of heavy metal (Mercury (Hg)) in the imported batch did not meet the requirements of applicable technical regulations and was unfit for consumption.

The agency decided that the products were unfit for consumption and did not allow the sale of the consignment. At present, appropriate measures are being taken within the requirements of the legislation.
