Newcastle disease has been reported in the Nordjuland region of Denmark
The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan implements appropriate measures in accordance with the epizootic situation in the world based on the information received from the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) in order to protect against infectious animal diseases that may enter the territory of our republic from other countries.
According to the official information of the World Organization for Animal Health, Newcastle disease was registered in the Nordjuland region of the Kingdom of Denmark.
In order to protect the territory of the republic from the mentioned infectious disease, in the region of Nordjylland of the Kingdom of Denmark, taking into account the principle of zoning, the production of live birds and hatching eggs, poultry meat, poultry meat containing poultry processing products and all poultry from enterprises located within a radius of 10 km from the farm included in the territorial unit where the disease occurred prepared meat products from poultry products (except for products subjected to heat treatment that ensures the destruction of Newcastle viruses), poultry feed and feed additives for birds (except for feed and feed additives obtained by means of plant origin, chemical and microbiological synthesis), birds a temporary restriction has been applied to the import of equipment used for storage, slaughter and processing in accordance with WOAH's "Terrestrial Animal Health Code".
At the same time, in order to strengthen the control measures, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan was requested to take appropriate measures regarding vehicles coming from this administrative territorial unit or entering our republic through transit.
