The imported food supplement was found to be unfit for consumption

The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (FSA) continues to control food imports into the country.

As part of the control measures, samples taken during the inspection by the Agency's inspectors of  food supplements "TIOGREN"  capsul №40  imported by Fatullayev Elshad Mikayil oglu were examined in the relevant laboratory of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute. As a result of the inspections, it was found that the mass fraction of heavy metal (Cadmium (Cd)) in the imported batch (4,915 boxes) did not meet the requirements of applicable technical regulations and was unfit for consumption.

The agency decided that the products were unfit for consumption and did not allow the sale of the batch. At present, appropriate measures are being taken within the requirements of the legislation.
